Hi!
I'm Emily Zhang.
Interactive media is a truly powerful and limitless tool that breaks barriers of language and culture. Growing up in a multicultural environment, I started my journey of seeking unity in multiculturalism through comparative literature, where I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Latin and Ancient Greek. The game Assassin's Creed Odyssey caught my eye as it rose into the views of Classicists with its accurate historical representation of the ancient world. It struck a chord in my heart, and I started my journey in game development.
In every project, I tried to incorporate elements of cultural inspirations and influences from my upbringing in Hong Kong. After working in Shanghai, China as a narrative designer and a level designer on an upcoming Assassin's Creed title, I studied at SMU Guildhall to further my studies.
My life outside of video games involves volunteering at animal shelters, singing in an acapella, exploring and cooking different cuisines, urban photography, reading and watching shows and movies.
